Ultra-Low Latency LED Video Controller
Direct video frame capture and real-time LED output without network overhead
The ultra-low latency Pixblasters MS1 Video LED Controller connects to any computer through a standard video connection and displays a user-selected portion of the screen on addressable RGB LEDs (smart pixels) with smooth 60 FPS performance. What you see on the monitor is exactly what appears on the LEDs — with absolutely no programming, specialized software, or complex Ethernet network configuration required. Simply connect the HDMI-type video cable (DVI-compatible video) and start displaying content instantly.
The MS1 behaves like a standard monitor, placing virtually no additional load on the host computer. This allows it to work seamlessly with almost any software, including media players, digital signage platforms, visualizers, games, and custom applications.
A single MS1 controller can drive up to 16,384 smart pixels, while multiple MS1 units can be seamlessly chained together to create massive LED video installations with hundreds of thousands of perfectly synchronized LEDs.
Frame Grabbing
Connects to any computer as a standard monitor and displays the selected image portion.
Hardware accelerated
A custom FPGA chip controls the processing pipeline from video input to LED output.
low latency
Deterministic latency enables responsive video displays and interactive LED applications.
SIMPLE SETUP
Video is routed simply through cabling, without the need for complex network stacks or setup.
- Connects to any computer via a standard HDMI-type monitor cable (DVI video port)
- Supports 3-wire (WS2811, WS2812B…) and 4-wire (APA102, SK9822…) addressable RGB LED strips and LED panels
- Anything that shows on a computer monitor shows on the LEDs as well. No need for special software for anti-aliasing, fonts, image processing…
- Integrated FPGA drives up to 8,192 LEDs (16 outputs, 512 smart pixels per output).
- Microchip PIC18F26J50 microcontroller enables system updates via USB-C port.
- Retains display configuration across reboots.
- Dimensions: 89.6 × 92 × 21 mm (3.52 × 3.62 × 0.83 in, L × W × H)
- Power: 5 V DC, 0.6 A
