Pixblasters MS1 PCB Uplift Announced; MINI Controller Development Underway

Pixblasters has announced a PCB uplift for its MS1 Video LED Controller, introducing a set of practical design updates aimed at enclosure compatibility and long-term usability.

The latest MS1 revision was developed to support an optional metal enclosure. As part of this update, PCB mounting holes have been repositioned, and the configuration DIP switches have been moved to the edge of the board to ensure accessibility once installed in a case. Status LEDs have also been relocated next to the DIP switches, improving visibility of operating states during use.

Connectivity has been updated with the replacement of the USB Mini connector by a USB-C configuration port. This change allows users to configure the controller using standard USB-C cables, removing the need for a dedicated or legacy cable.

The first production batch of the updated MS1 boards has been received, with initial units already shipped. The new revision is available immediately through Mouser.

Pixblasters offers unmatched speed and flexibility with addressable RGB LEDs

In parallel, Pixblasters is developing a new product, the Pixblasters MINI Video LED Controller. The MINI is positioned as a simplified and more affordable alternative to the MS1, targeting projects that do not require the full MS1 feature set. Despite its reduced size and scope, the MINI is designed to deliver reliable performance for demanding RGB LED video applications.

Development progress for the Pixblasters MINI can be followed on the Crowd Supply pre-launch page:
